After Dickey Effect

Thought this was really cool from fangraphs, its about putting a value on the effect of pitching afteer the knuckleballer. Dickey could he adding up to 1.4-1.8 WAR per year just by pitching 200 innings and "messing up hitters" for those who follow him.

Like I said, it is probably better to use FIP rather than ERA.

Seems to me that it would be better to not measure the pitchers at all, as but rather to measure the batters that faced him. Maybe a more progressive effect can be detected on guys that faced him two, three, four times.
