MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Keeping this separate from the Free Agent thread. There have been several reports in the NY papers and elsewhere that the Rockies are looking to rebuild and Tulowitski and Gonzo might be available. But at the time of the All Star Game, I read that Sugarpants added Cuddyer to the Home Run Derby team because he and Cuddyer are old friends. Michael has one more year remaining on his contract, and with bonuses will earn about $11.5 in 2014. Maybe the Mets could pry him from the Rocks. Anyone heard any other rumors? Post them here, as well as any WATPs you can devise. (Or should that be another thread?)Later

I have not heard anything as far as Cudd goes but I have thought of him for playing first and I may have mentioned it here. And he's a fine outfielder. I started thinking that because of the story at the AS break, about him and Wright. Told my bros while watching the game, it would be kool if we get rid of Davis and Duda, went and got Cudd for first and he and David could play out there days together. It was just a whimsical thought.
