Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Juan Lagares started his career as an infielder, sez the booth. Had no idea.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I didn't know that Callison hit his walkoff wearing a Met helmet in the 64 all star game. And that's major Met lore to me.

Had no idea.I knew that he started as a shortstop...and also EYjr was primarily a 2nd baseman in the minors...after watching both of them (and seeing what we have as middle infielders)...I have to wonder, would either of these 2 be a degrade at SS/2B than we currently have?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 I imagine Lagares got moved for a reason. Those gruesome fielding percentages (.942, .911, .938 his first three seasons) I'm looking at right now might have something to do with that. Sorta stuff that would embarrass Valdespin.(I'm kidding. Nothing embarrasses Valdespin.)
