Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Well, it was a relayed throw from Young through Turner. Mostly is was a dumb play by Rollins, his second of the game.Charlie had to set Jimmy straight a number of times over the years. I wonder if Ryno is going to have the guts/freedom to do the same.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Gives em the lead with a HBP. Gah.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Between Ruf, Orr, and Lee, the Phils look like they're hiring guys who will save them the most money on lettering.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Carson: Still not any good.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Dammitt. Carson almost got out of it. And it was freakin Hamels!

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Carson: Still not any good. But, as per Carson-via-Gary, he's a different sort of terrible.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 Matsuzaka's funny. Gets his strikeuts, but not too much for getting regular contact outs. Kinda guy that makes you want to start HoJo at short.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Ohandbytheway... the game's been on for two hours and change, and we've got four more regulation innings to go, at least. It's a shame Mr. M left the Junior Circuit-- he's such a perfect fit there, pacing-wise.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Young just has to steal here. They know it, we know it.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Quite the changeup to get Ike in the fifth. Quite. Also, I hate to belabor a point, but SWEET FANCY MOSES, IT'S JUST GOING TO BE THE SIXTH RIGHT NOW.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Aww,booo,Flores, BOOO! What kind of effort was that?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Murphy with a pinch hit hit. Down 5-1. Yea Young, lets bunt.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Murph is a crazy man. Crazy I tell ya!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Impressed with Brown's non-pop-upping there.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Brown drives one through the gap to the wall. Just doin his job.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Yea, mighta been low Ike. But don't make an issue of the fact that Angel sucks. You should not be surprised.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Maybe it's my increasingly-holey memory, but I don't recall Teufel making a play as nice in the field when it counted as he did just then, on that foul hot-shot.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I just may skip Matsuzaka's starts from now on. But the Mets may too.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Ha! Flores suc....oh he's on our team. Nevermind.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Wilmer Flores' defense smells more like basura.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Of course, that might just be Old Man Atchison's liniments my nose is detecting. Those reek something awful, too.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Meh. So Matz ate up 4.3. Whoopdiedoo.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 PUT IT IN THE PIGGY BANK FOR NEXT YEAR'S DRAFT
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 Coulda really used some Vic Black this evening.
