G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Game that proves life goes on, already in progress. Scoreless middle of second.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I'm blocked from SNY but I can watch em on Comcast. I would have liked to hear what the guys had to say about Harvey. I imagine they're all bummed too.Ha! Mayberry AND Bernadina sucks.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Mr. Brown draws first blood. Drives in Byrd with a nice rocket of a single up the middle.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Wheeler up to 63 pitches in the fourth. His first walk gives way to a triple and two runs. My main concern w/Zack is his pitch count. Its acceptable at this point but could go south quick.1-2
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Was listening on the radio and the Cars For Kids commercial comes on, so I hadda mute that. Listened to the Phils booth until Matthews started his sing song yak and I hadda mute that. I'm back to the radio (thru MLB-TV, picture on TV). Its a lil outta sync. lil bit, that sucks. Half paying attention. The rest of this seasons gonna be a drag.Wheeler up to 78 pitches through five. Still down 2-1.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Muffy just misses one. Anything now would be uplifting from a fans standpoint. Well, not a fly to the fence though. Do something Mets. Something to ease the pain. Like win this game.Wheeler into the 90s pitchwise in the 7th. Lookin good.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Odd timing by Terry for a pitching change: 2-outs and opposing pitcher up
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Down 2-1 suddenly feeling like 7-1 as Josh Satin grounds out on the first pitch to start the seventh.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Keith saying that John McNamara told him certain things about the 1986 series that he can't reveal, about certain players.Clemens, Clemens, Clemens.Let me guess. Clemens.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 And almost immediately he implies that it was Clemens
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 That's something there.A real nice throw by Trav catches Utley, my nemisis.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Big caught stealing by d'Arnaud.By the way, is that the first lower-case letter you've ever seen on the back of a Met uniform? Seem's like they'd be more likely to use a small cap.Mets out of the crisis. Let's get some runs.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Very good outing from Zack but 105 pitches through 6.2. Still just too many pitches to get there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Wiggled out of that one.You think Chollie would have called for that SB - particularly without the runner from 3rd moving? I think he was too much of an offensive guy to think that was the best pct play, so I'm guessing probably no.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 d'Arnaud gets the average up to .143.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Bad guess Redbrain.OOO, Duda time.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 Sending Duda up against the lefty over Buck and Young.

It's more likely Duda will make all the plays/there aren't any tough LF plays than it is that Eric Young contributes.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I believe this is 6 runs over the last 6 games (with one inning to go) but I'm afraid to look it up to confirm.
