He should not be looking over his shoulder to right field. He should have been looking at Tueff.Ike walks on down to first again.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I missed alot of action.Nice grab by Lagaro..
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Very nice catch by Bax. I get the feeling the final score of this game is not going to be 5-4.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 I guess Baxter's shoulder is alright.Looks like he rolled his wrist, though, but he makes the third out, so I guess he's tootin'.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 5-4, two out, none on and Lags bunting? Jeeze. He thinks better of it and grounds out to short.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Gratz Davidson (1st MLB hit). Now do something stupid on the bases.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Parra bunts into the force. Ha. Ugh! Niese screws up a DP. That grounder back to the mound was a gift!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 I'm glad Pennington hasn't been as effective with the bat as with the dee.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 If that wasn't Niese's last pitch, then my name ain't Nathan Arizona.Good, tough job, Hawk, now go ice your wing.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 For a guy that was about to face Dr. Andrews not too long ago the Hawk did good.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 How does Ike dig out of the 0-2 hole there?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Arizona had a twitter poll about who had the best cameo on Seinfeld --- Keith Hernandez, Buck Showalter, Paul O'Niell, or Danny Tartabull.Keith won 88% of the vote, and the other guys split the remaining 12.#SorryYankeeFans

Tho I think what Keith did there in that classic episode was much more than a cameo.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Dislocated right hip for Cody Ross....
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Dislocated right hip for Cody Ross. Thats pretty damn bad. Now I feel like a shitheel.Over it.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I'd never wish an injury on anyone. But even with a dislocated hip, I still have an urge to slap Cody Ross' smug little face.

I didn't wish it. But I did laugh at his misfortune. Took a bit but I have forgiven myself.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Okay. I really feel bad now. Stop with the Cody replays.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Come on guys. Don't give this game to em.8-5 Mets in the 8th.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Opposite field. Met fan kid catches it, very kool. I was not expecting that from Flores. I made Lagares a new KB last night but none for Wilma.I better get to work. KBs for all the newbs.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Good game. It looks like we ruined any chance the Snakes had of catching L.A.Lets make it up to them by sweeping the Dodgers.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Pretty cool to cap the game with Flores' first career homer.Ike hit a buncha homers in this building last year and I kinda hoped he'd have a similar powerfest, but reachng base all weekend is amazin'. He reached four times today and scored thrice. He's like... Alan Dykstra, actually. He may end up being Player of the Week.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 Murphy, by the way, did a psychout fake fist bump on Flores.
