Captain Clutch! (no arguing about whether players can actually be clutch hitters. It's a freaking nickname, OK?)

Jeter's lawyer will be in touch about your use of his copyrighted nickname.

Good job, which Germen does again in the 6th. Hamels is out. Ramirez in.

I was surprised that Terry kept Germen in there. I like that he did that, and there's the bump. Rice will get the ball.

I was surprised that he brought Germen into the game in the first place (I figured on a more veteran reliever for such a high leverage spot) but the kid gave a good account of himself.

Now as long as Rice doesn't fall apart here.

Great interview with Kevin and the usher. An usher since 1964. Thats amazin'

Luke is usually in Section 311. Say hi to him the next time you're there - he's a character in the best sense of the word :)

Let's hope the bullpen shows some character right now....

I wonder if he ushered the Beatles show?

If they're going to hit someone I'd rather they plunk Rollins instead.

Pretty funny, don't know why I typed b's. Robbins the actor
is a big Mets' fan ... can't be plunkin' fans.

Tony Roberts is the big NYM fan (I rode an escalator with him at Shea one time)

Although if it makes you feel any better, I think Tony Robbins, that 6' 8" motivational guru, should be plunked in the rump every once in a while just on general principles.

Have you ever seen a play where the first baseman obstructs the runner from getting back to first by standing between him and the bag? I've never seen it the way it could have gone with Satin standing where he was.

I think All-Stars should get to keep those stars that were on the back of their collars during the ASG for the remainder of the year.
But I just checked David's shirt and they're gone.

I guess any at bat where Ike does not have to swing is a good one. Actually, a big walk.

I hadn't realized the wore those this year at all. I thought Jeter didn't do it so it wasn't cool.

Jake Diekman is a good name for a Knickebocker.

At some point Terry might want to think about getting Murphy and his .303 OBA out of the 2-spot.

Murph to Frayed: "STFU"

By the way, that was a flare Murphy hit, and no Phillie outfielder got within three or four strides of it.

Another demonstration of Delmon Young's range there.

What did I tell ya? Hit it to the outfield, Mets.
