ESPN radio guy calling Shea a "pitcher-firendly park."

No, he called it a hitter-friendly park, which is the first time I've ever heard it described as such.

This is slowly (painfully slowly) getting ready to be a
Mariano love fest soon.

There's always the glorious possibility of the blown save.

That happened when they had the Mariano-fellatio-fest when the MFYs visited in May...

Inexcusable managerial malpractice by Boxhy, allowing Brown to face the lefty and not pinch-hitting.

Feel like the seventh inning started like last night.

ah ha, see, have you heard Joe and Tim mention once tonight that Bochy is here to win, unlike Leyland who is managing this like game 7.

I heard he's already been named game MVP.

Yeah, 'cause Prince Fielder is the defensive replacement you use in late innings.

I only just saw this Salvador Perez guy for the first time recently.
He's listed at "only" 6' 3"/245 but he looks even bigger than that (maybe because KC has a couple of pretty short relievers).
Whatever he actually is, you certainly didn't see a lot of catchers that size back in the day.

Enter Sandman following Sweet Caroline is pretty funny.

I seem to remember Prince was mostly decent on defense.

His hands are decent and he's not as immobile as his bulk suggests, but I don't predict too many gold gloves in his future.

Yeah, they're really gonna get a six-out appearance by Rivera. Good luck with that notion.

No, with just a 2-run (now 3) lead, Leyland was afraid of losing the lead in the 7th or 8th and risking not even having a bottom 9th for him to pitch.
With a bigger lead he would have held him back but, without one, was committed to using him in the 8th.

Prince Fielder with cat-like speed ... wouldn't want to get
in his way once he gets a head of steam going ...
