He got good rips at the pitches he liked. He fought off the pitches he didn't like. He took pitches that used to fool him. And then hit the grounder on a pitch he always missed. It was an ugly swing, out in front, but he got his hands/bat to the ball. (meh, maybe im just hunting for positives)
