Well, at least the last one was a strike.

Yet, unfortunately, not struck.

I was waiting for Adrian Johnson to change that to a strike.

Brilliant. Walk for Byrd.

Piteher change That's a lot of bullpenners to stagger through this seventh even if they don't score again.

Bult let's have them score again.

I couldn't tell as they went to the commercial break. Did Murphy get tossed?

Nope. And he went on for a while. That tells me that the ump knows he sucks.

I'm going with Valdespin.

Is this like the Buccigross overtime challenge? Do I win a t-shirt if I'm right? Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

That takeout at second was more Valdespin's poor footwork than Rollins being vicious. Most second basemen get out of there unscathed.

Damn him and that wicked slider. It's got some bite.

Oh man, that was a strike to Brown and this home plate ump is awful. Brown pops out to right.

Brown is retired on some routine Mayberry RF D.

That inside pitch before the flyout was a ball. He got that right. Phillies announcers and GameDay both thought so, anyhow.

It probably was, and it was 3-4 inches closer to the plate than strike one to Murphy.

Gary or Ron pointed out that the pitch was exactly in the same spot as the outside strike called on Murphy. To me consistency is the most important trait of a good ump.

Don't mind me. I'm on a dump on the ump kick.

Come on Aardsma, get thru this unscathed.

Aardsma gets it done. He didn't look good out there. They showed a close up of his face and I thought he was going to start crying. But he holds em. GJ sourpuss.

Papelbon has blown two games in the last week -- one he got the loss, in the other he gave up the tie before the Phils won in extras.
