Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Lucas gets a DudaDay off, and Lagares is also sitting. Pettibone has been pretty lousy in four of his past five starts, and really bad in the last two. OE: Duda sent back to NY for an MRI on his side. The Mets will have some hard promises for Pettibone. Damn the torpedoes, let's hit some balls into the great wide open and long after dark he'll be sitting in a gutter with a bad case of full moon fever. Hey, Jonathan, you're gonna get it!MetsEric Young Jr., cfJordany Valdespin, 2bDavid Wright, 3bMarlon Byrd, rfDaniel Murphy, 1bJohn Buck, cKirk Nieuwenhuis, lfOmar Quintanilla, ssDillon Gee, rhpPhilliesJimmy Rollins, ssChase Utley, 2bMichael Young, 3bRyan Howard, 1bDomonic Brown, lfJohn Mayberry, rfBen Revere, cfCarlos Ruiz, cJonathan Pettibone, rhp
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Sorry to hear about Duda. Losing him could hurt the team.Who do we got at Vegas? Is this Davis guy any good?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Why does he have to be sent back to New York for the MRI?It's the 21st Century, and there are state of the art hospitals in Philadelphia. MRI images can be made available to the team's New York doctors seconds after they are completed.Unless it's a matter where time is of the essence and he'd have to be rushed into surgery (which does not appear to be the case in this instance), why not just have him examined locally?
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Mets go down meekly, and the Phils go single-single-PB-single for two runs.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Q nearly Pet-debones the pitcher with a liner, Gee pushes him over, runner on second, one out.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 A bunt single by Young and a grounder by Valdy halves the lead.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Gee settling down. 2-1 Phils, end of the third.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Howard goes to the opposite field and over the foliage. 3-1.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 4-1 Phils, bottom of the fifth. I feel like Earl Holliman in that diner.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Gee gets Rollins and Utley, but Young takes him deep. Howard then bombs one to right. 6-1, and Gee hasn't retired Howard since ever.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 So this business with the ump making two calls a play becomes a joke. No serious talk or inquiries to the ump as to why he did this? Amazin'
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Gee gives us 5 innings, only 67 pitches. No beer for you Dillon. That sucked.
