Thank you. If you need me, I'll be hiding in France.

I don't like this. BJ Upton bobblehead night and it comes down to him.

Not that I care, but what exactly has BJ Upton done to deserve a bobblehead night?
Dude's been on the Braves for what, like 70 games so far and has gotten about 15 hits in that time.

Come on, it's obvious. Everybody who comes to the game gets a free BJ. How can you top that for a promotion?

baadaBOOM!

Good game, in retropect.
Sometimes hard to watch when its actually happening, like most Met games.

Josh Edgin gets it done. Stupid Heyward slides into first and it doesn't help him any.

Yeah, that was pretty dumbass. I'm kind of sorry I didn't get to see Heyward and Duda collide at full speed. It would have been like the time they ran those two locomotives together.

or like the time Cameron and Church collided and Church was never the same again... I'll pass on that.

Now, waitie, I think you're conflating. Church was concussed during a spring collision with Marlon Anderson. He re-injured himself against these very same Braves busting his ass on a takeout slide trying to stop what became a game-ending double play. I guess Yunel Escobar was the shortstop then.

Cameron collided (horribly) with Carlos Beltran.

They showed Duda after the play jogging off... he definitely said "fuck you".. not sure if that was "fuck you braves generally" or "fuck you heyward for sliding into first base there" not a safe play.

Now I find it odd to be saying "fuck you" there for any reason. I'll have to look that play over after the game.

I just looked this play over and after Duda crosses the bag the camera cuts to another view with Duda in the backround, Edgin in the foreground. It was Edgin who says "fuck" or "fuckin' something" under his breath.
Ha. I like this coming from a pitcher in any situation, even though it's possible he said that in relief.

I think it's a minor scandal that Young started over Brown against the lefty, and I'm trusting that it won't happen again.

I'm glad we have Young. But like most guys in this offense, I want him to earn every plate appearance. And he hasn't. AB has at least earned some starts against lefties, and if that means Murphy or Quinto or Lagares or somebody uncertified bats leadoff, I can deal.

Brownie, you're doing a great job

The one good thing about Young out there in the 9th last night was that Parnell had to feel good about an OF of Young - Lagares - Byrd behind him.
Some of our early season defensive alignments were not nearly as comforting.

Sure, that's definitely a higher-end defensive alignment, but I'm still behind Brown getting those first three at-bats.

I'm curious to see if Terry finds any work for Young in the infield.

Nooey was in left for the last inning, with Lagares and Byrd. He pinch-hit for Edgin and stayed in.
