Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Been looking for an excuse to spring that line.JCL's "Be There" comment gave me the opening.

Moving Duda to first earlier than I would have thought. I didn't think they'd do that until they totally gave up on Ike. Now this is interesting.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I more than suspect it. I wonder if Valdy's Met career is in endgame right now.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Good move, and I don't care if they said last week that Duda would not be going to first.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I think it does say something about Ike too. I mean, were he hitting 300 with a coupla dingers in Vegas I don't think we'd be seeing this tonight.

But if that's all the time Collins has for that experiment then so be it. I imagine that Terry is also being judged and he needs to win games.John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote:I think it does say something about Ike too. I said a while back that we should take an extended look at him. I was thinking in the outfield, but whatever. See what he can do with some regular playing time at one position. And his lack of hitting is the hard part to sit thru. For the most part he has played an adequate second base. I'm not sure that a weeks worth of games is enough of a look. Not complaining. There are a number of ways this team can go now. If they want to give players a shot at showing what they can do, give them fair shots. I'm okay with todays line-up because I think we have to field our best team vs the Braves, and right now, this is it. Maybe they can pick up the Jordany experiment down the line.

If they have a double header on Wednesday, then I guess Gee and Marcum go then. Else, you probably gotta bump Marcum, right?

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Well, it's most certainly happening to the Braves as well.Who's Uncle Fester?
