G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 So far this season, I've seen the Citi Field scoreboard assign Lucas Duda's season stats to Ike Davis (perhaps out of pity), credit Lucas Duda with two walkoff home runs hit by Ike Davis, place Tom Seaver's 100th career win, secured at Shea in 1972, in Los Angeles and, last night, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 400th home run belted by Duke "Snyder".There was also a glitch a week ago that indicated the Mets and Marlins were playing in a 20th inning.

I suspect scoreboard operations are run by hamster wheels. I'm always amused by it. I remember one game the out of town scoreboard was wonky, all game ,from when BP was still going on right to the end of the game. Teams were duplicated. The Tigers were playing the Mariners at home AND the Yankees in NY. The Yankees were playing 4 home games. Crazy stuff like that.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 A tour of Fenway Park used to incude a trip inside the scoreboard in the left field wall. The numbers were printed on cardboard and replaced manually as the score changed. No hamsters those operators.Later
