Lets play Valdespin everyday and see for sure what we do, or do not have.

Agreed on both accounts. And of course, JV isn't playing today.

I'd like Baxter higher up (perhaps first, since Tejada isn't hitting..) or at least ahead of Buck but otherwise I like this lineup. a billion runs. you heard it here first.

Beauty of a barehanded play by Wright - and a Hodges-level cheat by Ike - gets Marte leading off. 26 to go!

1-2-3. Nothing close to leaving the infield.

La Fucking Gares

Harveys human! Is Lagares? I dunno. Makes two diving catches on one line drive. Never seen that before. He dove, caught it, it popped out of his glove mid dive and he reached out while flying and caught it again. Amazin'

I see the Mothers Day ribbon on Matts uni and I keep mistaking it for washed out blood.

So we've got Duda's HR and those two long drives by Murph & Wright.
Other than that I can't remember the last time they even got a ball out of the infield.

Wright almost got one. Its hard to drop one in on those speedy outfielders the Pirates have. They come out of nowhere and make the catch. But they only catch flys once. Our outfielders catch em twice.

When you only hit three balls out of the infield all game it's tough to claim that you're getting robbed or hitting into bad luck with 'at-em' balls.

And again in this inning: leadoff walk who then never advances an inch and two more Ks are hung up on the board.
What's this team going to do later this week when we go to StL and have to face real pitchers? Right now they're getting shutdown by no-names, guys just off the DL making their 1st start in nine months, and other assorted mediocrities.

The Ks are the killer. And we always seem to have more trouble with no-names as opposed to established pitchers. Same with no-name hitters. What was that, Barnes 2nd homer this season?

Harvey can't buy a run, he' ll have to start hitting homers if he wants a W
