Was grumbling to myself a little when the leadoff single dropped in front of him. WAS.

As was I
Don't mind the 'no doubles' idea in concept but, like Ronnie said, sometimes teams over-do it.

I'm telling you, he is a super fielder.

Hey, Baxter did it again. Bobby Pee now 4-0.

I get it now. Baxter only steps up when everything is on the line!

OK, I'll admit to NOT wanting to PH Baxter for Lagares there ... but the pull-shift they had on him is what got that hit through.

Wow, that's wacky stuff.

To me, that's the way it should be.

A top reliever employed most effectively shouldn't be compiling 35-50 saves, but rather 20-25 saves and 14-18 wins.

Turned out to be the glove appearance of the night too.
We have, among other things, been getting 'out-gloved' lately, particularly in the OF

That's why you all have to drop what you're doing and join me on the Lagares Bandwagon. Unless or until his hitting is sustainably atrocious (talking 75-100 more ABs), he's got to be, with apologies to Jordany Valdespin, the Man Right Now.

Duda, Lagares, Baxter, mix in Brown and Byrd as needed, dump Valdespin for Satin.

Yeah, crazy to dump Valdespin for Satin, we don;t need another RH hitter and besides Muffy looks like he could use a blow at 2B.

I don't like Jordany as an infielder and I don't like Turner as the 4-position backup either. Satin is hitting, but sure, grab a lefty.

Neither do I full-time, but no one is asking him to be full-time there.

As long as he's hitting .350 (.378 actually) I like my Turner anywhere I can get him. Five positions, btw, including LF the other night.

Brown was hitting when we called him up too, as was Lagares.
