It's getting Brown in Atlanta:

Ruben Tejada - SS
Daniel Murphy - 2B
David Wright - 3B
John Buck - C
Justin Turner - 1B
Lucas Duda - LF
Marlon Byrd - CF
Andrew Brown - RF
Shaun Marcum - RHP

The bad news is that Justin Turner's batting fifth.

The good news is that Andrew "Kaboom!" Brown is in the lineup.

The lower third of this lineup feels like it could have come tumbling out of any wax pack of Topps Cards I bought when I was 12, except I would've gotten Craig Kusick, Ed Farmer and Craig Kusick again.

It's all bad news for the Atlanta Braves!

Why oh why oh why?

I think Turner intends to smash a pie into the face of the Braves pitcher, thus setting up the Duda.

Because he hits lefties better than Ike Davis (In fact, a whole .032 OPS better over their careers) and better than he hits righties (a whole -.043 better)

The good news is that Justin Turner hits lefties better than Ike Davis does.

No Schaefer for Schaefer. Or Murphy, with the unproductive out.

Does the broadcast look dark to anyone? Or is it just this feed I'm getting.

Duda has a .420 OBP, shouldn't he be batting leadoff or 2nd?

I thought that the bad news was that Terry thinks that Byrd can play Center Field...when the rest of baseball isn't even sure that he can adequately cover Right Field...Our outfield defense might be part of the reason why the majority of our pitchers can't get outs (unless they strike guys out or keep the ball on the ground)...

Most reasonable baseball minds will tell you that Byrd is not even a major leaguer, let alone an everyday player.

Wright's OBP is about the same. Why not bat Willie Stargell leadoff? (40 years ago)

or why not bat Bobby Bonds leadoff?

and out of every option on this team; Wright is about the only "leadoff" hitter on the team (although, he'll never bat leadoff)...
