It's baseball ... I flip around on these games. I change channels
if Opponent gets aggravating.

It's only the second most aggravating thing on.

nice job Castillo.

Who whines more than Jeter? Outside of a pre-school, I mean.

You can't call me out on that pitch, I'm Derek Jeter.

Was the gift basket not big enough? I can get you a bigger one...I thought we had an arrangement.

I'm gonna turn it off, ya know someone is gonna hit a line drive
to right field and win it and TheOtherJoe will be genius.

The Opponents hit more grounders with full swings that wind up being hit too shitty to be turned in DPs than any team I've ever seen.
I don't know how they do it but they do it all the time. That's two by Cano just tonight.

They must do somethign to the grass or something. Jeter hits more infield squibs than anyone in baseball (Excepting maybe Ichiro) somehow they are just slow enough to not be playable.

Do you guys remember when Ibanez was debated on the forums as a potential Mets FA acquisition?

As I recall it the so-called seamheads were strongly against such an investment but don;t recall the argument (or the year). It would have been the 2000-01 offseason or perhaps the 2002-03.

Four innings pitched in four games for Darren O'Day, no hits, no walks. Sigh.

I remember it [the Ibanez talk].
He was one of those guys seemingly "destined" to be a Met for a while.

I don't think it was as early as you say. For a couple years there were talks about trades with Seattle and then again prior to his FA signing w/Philly but that Philly deal was 2009 so I think most of the talk was around '05 and later.
He was always a good though somewhat anonymous player out in Seattle but I also imagined the outcry if Omar had signed or traded for a mid-30s guy with a Spanish name.

I can't affect the outcome of this game but that doesn't mean I have to watch it end. Switching to DET-OAK game while Opponent hits.

been trying, but they had the nerve to go to commercial. Also, vuvuzela in oakland almost as annoying as jeter.

I'll keep you up to date.

Opponent shorstop phony rolls over on the first pitch and grounds weekly to third.

Opponent Japanese carpetbagger first-pitch swings also and bounces out first. Two pitches, two out.

One those guys destined to suck at Citi Field/Shea but thrives despite age in the bandboxes. and not as good as Scott Hairston.

Mr. Everybody-I-Work-Out-With-Juices takes a curve for strike one.

Big swing and a miss at the high fastball. Two-strike count.
