[u:2sdg9ypn]Game notes[/u:2sdg9ypn]

The Mets drew 2,242,803 to Citi Field this year, down from 3.15 million in 2009, 2.56 million in 2010 and 3.52 million last year. This is the team's lowest home attendance since 2.19 million at Shea Stadium in 2003. ... Mets broadcaster Keith Hernandez shaved off his mustache before the game in a charity fundraiser. ....

That's a y-o-y drop of 36.4%. Are you sure we drew 3.5 mills last year and not 2.5?!? (looking up)

Baseball-reference has 2011 attendance at 2.352. Down 4.7% this year.

Seaver in 1971, like RA today, also struck out 13 batters in his 20th win game. Seaver repeated the 13K/20th Win double the following season. Koosman turned that trick in 1976.

It only seems like yesterday ended the season. Six more games to go. Need Edgy to roll out an IGT -- got a starting lineup that's just dying to make itself known.
