I really like the blue jerseys. I'm glad they are gonna be a regular thing next year. But then again, at one point I thought the Mets should go with orange jerseys, and I drew this around 30 years ago. So........

SHIT. Well, he had to try for two there. Nice and fortunate play by that outfielder.

Flushing, NY (AP) - Continuing a recently disturbing trend, another rally was mercilessly killed by Mets players this evening. According to witnesses, the Mets had runners on first and third with none out when the next two batters grounded into a fielder's choice and a double play.

"I've see this sort of thing before," said F. Mann, a visitor from upstate NY. "Between the junkyards across the street and this mess, property values around here are goin' straight in the crapper, if you catch my drift." Authorities have promised action before, yet the senseless killing continues.

I appreciate that even the fictionalized version of me managed to work an anal sex joke into the mix. Well played, Mr. Mann!

Let's see now ...
- we're into a battle of the bullpens
- we don't hit other teams' pens
- other teams hit the crap out of ours
- we need more than two runs if we're going to win this game
- we haven't snagged more than two runs in a full game in nearly a week

IOW, it ain't lookin' good.

Great play there by Tejada.

Thnx Fman. Just threw a 200 on top of a kaboom, but that did come out kool.

Three hits. We have 3 total hits in the 7th. Gaaaaaaaah!

4 hits. YAY!

Terry said they were leaving too many runners on base, so they corrected that by not getting anybody on base.

Every freakin' game looks the same. This is like a Hanna-Barbera cartoon where the same house-rock-tree keep passing in the background.

lol. I remember the cheaper, older Batman cartoons where they drove down the street in the Batmobile and the backround was always the same block or two, over and over and over. That bothered me.

Decent appearance by Acosta. That hook he threw to the last batter (I have no idea who it was) was pretty nasty.

Credit where credits due, I guess. But I don't think there is one guy in that bullpen that could do anything to balance out the damage done. They are responsible for 25 losses. 25! I have a hard time saying anything good about any of them even when they do good, and that is a real shame.

Come. Fucking. On. With. The. Fishing. Ike.

That was an awful AB by Ike. He needed to get on, down 2 runs, and he swung at everything.

Yeah, I'm grasping for anything positive here.

Looking for the right image.

Would anyone be offended if I posted an image of a big stinking steaming pile of shit?

That's less offensive than the pile of shit that the team has been leaving on the field lately.

Thanks, Fman! Mr. Met looked really crappy in my original Avatar, didn't you, Mister?

Huh? WHAT?!

This is, um, really embarrassing... Mr. Met saw you behind us yesterday. He said he thought you were kind of a weirdo.
