Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Ha! Theriot sucks. Take advantage David.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 We gotta cash in on this situation. If not, they get three more shots at it to our two and probably two of theirs are going to be against [no don't say it!] our bullpen.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Boy have we fucked up some scoring chances tonite
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 So after we were already up 1-0 two pitches into the game, we've out-hit them 6-2 plus been given 4 walks and an error ... and are still only up by one.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Wright trying to make sure no one ever scores against the Mets.

You'd get 1 year of Buck and 2 years of Bell. I tend to think you could get $5M worth out of those two players without too much trouble.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 It's not like anybody would put in a claim if that deal was to go down next week.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Jason Bay is up.He has some sort of stick in his hand.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Let's hear it for pulling back the bunt.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Gotta take the bunt off if this dude is going to be this wild !!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Good job Baxxy. He did his best to screw that turn up but it turned out ok.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Well, opportunities don't get any more golden than this one.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 This is where I normally complain that umps should make that call more often ... but not here.Smart play by Baxter
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Unfuckingbelieveable
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Unfrickinbelievable ... and it's the right call.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I'm sure the rule is what it is, but why aren't the runners on 2nd and 3rd? That's where they would be were there no interference and Thole got thrown out at first.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Because Thole was bad.Really, I don't know either.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 Gah! Replay shows he was inside the line. But very close to getting back to it. Wow, I didn't know that the lane started where the rule applies. So you can start out on the grass as long as your back to the lane for the last 40 feet. So he could have technically been called out even if the ball didn't hit him? Interesting.
