We gotta cash in on this situation.
If not, they get three more shots at it to our two and probably two of theirs are going to be against [no don't say it!] our bullpen.

So after we were already up 1-0 two pitches into the game, we've out-hit them 6-2 plus been given 4 walks and an error ... and are still only up by one.

Buck kinda sucks and Bell is making an awful lot of do-re-mi.

The aggregate money on that deal would cost the Mets $5 million.

You'd get 1 year of Buck and 2 years of Bell. I tend to think you could get $5M worth out of those two players without too much trouble.

Jason Bay is up.

He has some sort of stick in his hand.

Hopefully he's taken up orchestral conducting.

Good job Baxxy. He did his best to screw that turn up but it turned out ok.

I'm sure the rule is what it is, but why aren't the runners on 2nd and 3rd? That's where they would be were there no interference and Thole got thrown out at first.

Gah! Replay shows he was inside the line. But very close to getting back to it.
Wow, I didn't know that the lane started where the rule applies. So you can start out on the grass as long as your back to the lane for the last 40 feet. So he could have technically been called out even if the ball didn't hit him? Interesting.

Because to remove the incentive for the offensive team to commit an intentional interference the remedy is that all runners return to their original bases.

Penny saving bacon? I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it.
