bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Good for the umps for getting the call right. Now how about reversing the call from the last inning?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I'm guessing Terry asked them to also retroactively reverse the call on Valdespin before he got tossed. Is Bob Geren now the manager of record, or do the runners belong to Terry?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Thole should appeal the second run to Bucknor-- maybe he'll rule the guy out.(Alternatively: trade Dickey for Street.) Edited July 14, 2012 by Guest
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 You gotta feel bad for the umps. It's a day game after a night game. Perhaps they'll get tomorrow off and AAA umps will do the game so they can rest. It's hard work, these 3 hours a day. And they're under such stress to do their job properly.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Okay Justin, if you wanna be around to throw pies you're gonna have to get us a run here.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Pump up that stat profile, Tyrna!Duda unavailable to pinch? I mean, you'd think that if this team has ONE thing, it's an abundance of left-handed PH options, no? Edited July 14, 2012 by Guest
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Turner with a big pinch-hit single makes it Mets 4, Braves 3, Umps 2.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Myrna Turner beginning to look like Matt Franco.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Good job Turner. Thole scores while doing his best mime move, running underwater.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Geren's first big call and he's.... pinch-hitting Turner? You got big Lucas Duda on the bench, Bob. And it's a righty pitching, Bob.And Justin knocks Hanson out. GEREN'S A GENIUS! FIRE TERRY![/bigpurple]

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Justin Turner. Ruben Tejada. Jordany Valdespin. Gentleman all.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) TRADE HIM FOR HUSTON STREET BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!11!!!!Does it strike anyone else as kind of odd that this string of hits has come with those shadows like that, in the death-to-hitters position between home and the mound? Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 The plate umpire is as bad as the rest, and that's acknowledging the three or four gifts he gave Dickey.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 I don't know what that Cerone comment means, but[bigpurple:9fhhaf0x]GEREN'S IN A POSITION TO WIN! BRING ON WARTHAN FOR THE SAVE![/bigpurple:9fhhaf0x]Ashie, cut back a little. It's still early.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 strike 2 to wright was LOW, strike 3 was potentially a bit inside but way too close to take with 2 strikes
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 My favorite part of the shitty Dan Iassogna strike call? That in the replay, you can see his eyes dart over guiltily to the batter, like he's thinking, "Don't be mad, don't be mad, don't be mad..."
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Edgy: Ashie62 was only doing a Mets version of the opening song from The Book of Mormon.
