Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 A winning record for June is one the line today. (14-13 so far) Santana is on the mound for the Mets, versus Nate Eovaldi who I'm pretty sure either has an extra vowel or is missing a consonant in his last name Scouting book says this: Nathan (not 'Nate', not ever 'Nate') Eovoldi is a hard-throwing, easy-armed righthander working his way to Dodger Stadium as a top Los Angeles prospect. With a 94mph fastball that looks effortless, Eovoldi worked his way right up to a sample start in Arizona last year, striking out seven in a five inning debut before removing himself via an embarrassing fielding tumble. He'll compete for a starting gig in 2012, and could very well win one despite his young age. Even if he doesn't, he should be in Dodger Blue before the season is half-finished.oh..and it's on Fox. sorry.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Lineup for tonight's game which, thanks to the scheduling shenanigans of the Fox Suckers, I shall be missing while (quite happily) attending the wedding of my cousin's daughter.Torres-CFTejada-SSWright-3BDavis-1BDuda-RFMurphy-2BNieuwenhuis-LFThole-CSantana-LHP

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Let's make em pay for that.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Half an inning and Buck has yet to mention Derek Jeter.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 It's painful to listen to these guys. They obviously have no clue about these Mets.Waiting for Buck to refer to Eric Karros as 'Troy'.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Thats two running blunders by Torres.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Muffy looks good again. That's something.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Ike Davis just anally raped Don Mattingly.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Boo. In Michigan, Fox is showing Tigers-Rays. But I have to say I'm loving the Rays' pretend 1979 throwbacks.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 For all of Ike's problems this year, he's certainly made his HRs count. That was his 6th 3R HR to go along with a Grand Slam out of the 11 he's hit

It's like two different teams are showing up for alternating series.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Boys are looking good again tonight. Ike above the Mendoza line and driving the ball. Pretty good. Pretty, pretty good.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 I'm not sure if the entire team had 6 3R HRs plus a GS all last season (OK, so they actually had 14 + 3, but it's kinda close considering)

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Torres is getting on tonight ... of course he's also getting erased half the time but it's progress.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Todd Coffey running in slow motion is TERRIFYING.

Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Looked like Jello jiggling.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 I'm still haunted by it. I'm glad I only have a 42" TV.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Coffey running is particularly not a good idea in such a seismically active area.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Put this rally to bed, please.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 With 2nd and 3rd and no outs, it sure was nice of the Mets not to pile on.
