Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Speaking of sons with different skills, I hadn't realized that Scott Van Slyke was back up but I saw him briefly when he was with LA earlier this year. The kicker is that he's virtually the opposite of everything his father was: Right-handed, huge, slow, no glove to speak of but with big-time power.Three legacies in the LAD line-up tonight when you add in Tony Gwynn Jr., and then for added attraction they've got Jerry Hairston Jr. on the bench.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Torres out by a toe. (if your not watching this is not due to injury)

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I think Darlings right. Duda plays right like he don't want the ball hit to him. Not good.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Forget playing LIKE it; I think Duda actually does NOT want the ball hit to him.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Gary and Ron say that scratchy sound during the Guys! in-game/in-stands interview with Jerry Hairston Senior was "the wind," but I like to think that his audio pickup was overcome by the ballpark's event-horizon-like Hairston concentration effect.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Not able to get the TV feed. I was really jazzed up for a night with me and Vin. Had champagne and dried apricots ready and everything.

Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 It is the mlb.tv free game of the night.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Gary says a lot of things in California. I'm prepared to chalk it up to beautiful-weather-and-Hot-Dog-On-A-Stick-related dementia.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 My internet speed is such that my computer won't stream it. I'm in a cold zone or something.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 By the way, I know we're not there yet and maybe won't get there at all, but Bobby Parnell is our closer tonight.

He wasn't, like, shouting about it, but merely bringing up French, apropos of nothing, counts as a suggestion in my book.
