For 25yo RHP Zach Stewart (1-2, 6.00 in 18 games) and IF/OF Brent "Super Joe" Lillibridge (.215 career BA).

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Youk is 33 and in the final year of his big money deal, most of which the Red Sox will pay in transit.

From MLB.com: The source said Chicago sent infielder Brent Lillibridge and RHP Zach Stewart, who had recently been sent to Triple-A Charlotte, to Boston in return for Youkilis and cash.

Lillibridge is/was a SS prospect who came up with the Pirates then was dealt to the Braves before going on to Chicago. Has never really hit.
Don't know anything about this Stewart guy [25 y/o, former 3rd round pick by Cincy, now headed for his 4th org]
'Cash' is obviously to off-set some chunk of Youk's $12.5 or so contract. The ChiSox will now have an option for him next year or he becomes a FA

White Sox can buy out the 2013 Youkilis option for 1 Million....which they will as Youkilis would be owed north of 10 million otherwise.

Obama thanked Boston at a fundraiser today for sending Youk to the White Sox. Got a hardy round of boos for that one.

Does this leave Ortiz as the last piece of the 2004 championship?

I was reading on a Boston forum that people were actually saying "YOOOOUUUK" and the President misinterpreted that as booing.
