I don't have a problem with lifting young for a pinch hitter - and don't forget TC did actually artfully pinch hitting situations that we got a lot out of. It's Batista that I object to, a) it's for Satin, we're in the lead and c) it was with only one out.
This may be easier for me to say for I watched till about the 4th (which was only about 1 am as they were really flying through the innings) so I didn't have to bear witness to the horror show (Valedspin's through the legs was just awful to see even though I knew the result!). It sort of felt like trouble came in 3s much the way buses do in Dublin.
There's a saying in most sports that you learn more by losing then you do by winning and I think that's going to be true for Jordanny Valedspin, Terry Collins, Daniel Murphy, Elvin Ramirez and Sandy Alderson after that.

It's crap to lose, but you can't complain about the effort, merely the execution.
