bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 ARGH! Stop bunting already! If Ronny Cedeno is deemed incapable of hitting a flyball so that you have to bunt each time he's up with a runner on third, then he's not a major league player.

Tejada is supposedly 7-10 days away.I'm listening on the app so I'm like 45 seconds behind.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Another quick inning for Dickey. Through three innings, one hit, 38 pitches.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Kirk with a two-out single in the third. I'm hoping David Wright doesn't bunt here.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Nieuwenhuis steals second.Strange how SNY has a camera angle that shows a cable going vertically down the center of the screen when they're showing a right-handed batter from the first-base side. Can't the camera guy even manage to get a good seat?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 (edited) Ceetar: The delays are tough when you want to read the CPF or follow the tweets. I've been watching mlb.tv via an app on my TV and it's at least 60 seconds behind mlb.tv on my computer. Because of this, I've read tweets about game events before the batter is in the box. Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Wright walks, Duda strikes out. The Mets have ended each of the first three inning striking out with a runner in scoring position.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Yikes! Votto crushes a home run off the Pepsi Porch. (Or close to it anyway.)1-0 Reds.

It's like they feed the feed to something else, when then streams it. It's alright though, I'm at work and probably shoudln't be listening to the game while in here AND following twitter.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Murphy reaches first. Don't know if that was a hit or an error. Votto dove to his right, got the glove on the ball and knocked it down. Threw to first, but Murphy beat the throw by a narrow margin.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Ike sends Stubbs to the wall.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Davis gets it to the warning track in left center. Murphy holds at first.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 This is a really stinky lineup we got here. Four Interstate hitters follow Muffy.Nickeas whiffs.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 We are really missing Joshie and Ruby Tuesday.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I'm missing Keith Hernandez and Darryl Strawberry and Gary Carter.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 My attention wandered for a bit, and now I see that the Reds have a 2-0 lead. Runners on second and third, none out in the fifth.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Now it's 4-0. Dickey might as well head out for his book signing.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I know that catching a knuckleball is difficult, but if Nickeas can't catch Dickey then why is he on the team? For his hitting ability?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Torres leads off bottom 5th with a single - thus becoming the guy designated to be stranded in this inning.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Gameday just told me a pitch by Kirk's armpits was called a strike.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Duda up with two out and two on. One big swing could put us back into this ballgame.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 doodoo with a 2 run rubble
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Not quite a three-run homer, but I'll take it!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I thought it was gonna be caught, but it hit the ground and skipped back to the wall.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Howie said Bruce took a bad route to it. He made a right at the light and kept going straight until night.Muffy flies out to end the rally, so the Interstate Boys will bat in the 6th.
