So Tiffany, when your mom named you was she hoping you'd grow up to be a pole-dancer/soft news-bunny or was that just a happy coincidence?

Newhouse makes his first ML hit against a LHP count.
One of the cautions against him in the minors was his troubles vs LHPs - although that's something certainly not unusual for young'uns.

Nice piece of hitting-- he hit an outside slightly-hanging curve the opposite way.

And HEY-- Bay caught a ball while retreating without incident? He is living right tonight.

Big-balls evening for the former Thanagarian-- just one hit and two baserunners since the third.

Murph with the fancy-handin' double-play. It's like watching a gorilla use sign language.

No, I mean, I know it can happen. I KNOW it's within his capabilities. But it's just kind of viscerally odd to see, y'know?

Burning Affeldt on Thole? That seems... unwise.

That's funny, I was just picturing her dancing with a pole. Mine.

No offense, but don't hurry back Kev.

In addition to the great catch, Nieuwy got a GREAT jump on that ball.

Ummm, is the lefty/righty switch for a light-hitting SS really necessary here Terry? 'Specially since that's like the second hit Rauch has given up this year.

Nice work by the pen tonight. Now it's up to Bay, Newey and the rest of the Apple Bottom gang.

OE: Duda hitting on deck for Hairston...

Nice thing about having your bullpen torn up by an injury is that you can f with the "closer" as necessary. Few weeks of success and Bochy would no longer be allowed.

Doodoo's gotta make this chump pay anywhoo.

THAT's how you work a LOOGY.

With DP machine Cedeno coming up (and Tejada behind him).. do you consider a safety squeeze here? Hell, with the strong safety Newhouse on third, you've got a shot of knocking it loose even if the throw beats him by three steps.

That's some serious persistence by Thole there to work a hit out on the 9th pitch of the at bat. And Newey going first to third on that, puts the winning run 90 feet from home.

And now, it's all up to... Ronny Cedeno! Aw, hell.
