Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Which team will Jose Reyes play for in 2012? Tell me what you think will happen, not what you want to happen. And be honest with yourself (and us). And be ready to stand behind your pick.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I think he's worth more to the Mets than anyone else. The thing you can't predict is that some owner might go nuts and do something that makes no sense, like the Werth contract, or even ARod's Texas contract.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I think when all is said and done he will be back with the Mets.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I feel like he's a goner.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I think it all hinges on how willing he is to negotiate during this exclusive period. I think he'll be back, but it's a very weak feeling. Maybe I'm at 51%.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I do wonder what the perception of him is around the league with General Mangers , he seems to get his share of negative media on everything , injuries, celebrations, at bats, nakedness.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Jose will sign with the Mets because:1. His injury history will reduce his open-market value, if only a little bit;2. His value to the Mets exceeds his on-field performance and allowing Reyes to walk is the first step towards an even larger attendance hemorrhage than has happened the past 3 seasons.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Marlins, and yes I did read Pat Flood.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I took the Orioles!I don't think there is going to be an overwhelming number of teamsrushing to throw a lot of cash at Jose and his agent's feet. He's worthmore to the Mets, especially with the sickening past number of years, andhis popularity.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Would be funny if the Gnats signed him to a ridiculous contractand he was continually on the DL.
