Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 And we're already down 1-0 in the top of the first....
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Yeah, let's just start out the game by handing them a shitty run!!At least make them get the fucking ball out of the infield.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Wayne is Wayning this whole game up.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Gave me a fifteen-second description of a play before telling me a run scored.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 The Willie Harris positive leader/utility guy/teacher/leader/everyday player in my own mind/veteran/good guy/bench guy/savvy leader story is going to make me cry.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Willie Harris pinch-hit... for!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 And the Val Pascucci era has begun!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Passcucci with a hit, and a nice hand as he is out for a pinch runner, nice story.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Way to go, Valentino!!!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Terry was cool enough to send Val up there instead of Dudley.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 What a double dip shit sandwich. The Braves don't even look that good.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 I fear for Lunchie's kittens....

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Aw, we lost twice? Fuck a duck. I switched to football in the second inning, thanks.

Although I've got to imagine hurricanes and postponements and interrupted travel has every team in the East draggin' their wagons these days.Madder about Game 1 than Game 2, I am. I felt like we had no shot after blowing the first one the way we did -- with too many walks and hit batsmen as usual.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 The two games had a mailed in feel to them, the players, Gary and Keith , us fans, the IGT.....right now I feel like the season can't end fast enough but as soon as it does I'll miss it.....
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Just got back from seeing about 1 1/2 of the games. Irish pretty much nailed it.I'll put it this way: there was no literally no Shake Shack line (something I've never, NEVER seen, even on a sparsely-attended Closing Day, or during midweek drizzlers). And Braves fans-- presumably from the local area-- MAY have had as much of a 30 percent presence. Braves fans. Chopping and all.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Just got home from work and read the boxes and the CPF game threads.I would like to slowly lower Chipper into a vat of boiling acid.Anyone want to help?Later
