Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 where are you people?3-kaboom from Wright. Gee with a nice behind his back double play.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 This game's all about Wright so far. Diving stop to save a run, fakes a throw to first and tags out Maybin rounding third.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Now..about this Wright fellow....
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 in game around the majors. I heard A-Rod got booed when he dropped a pop-up during rehab in Scranton. classy AAA yank fans.. Although I guess plenty of them are actually Pirates/Phillies fans.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Isn't Arod just kinda universally booed on principle?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 3 great defensive plays so far: Pridie, Gee and David.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Gee's hanging in there, would be nice to get a few more runs just the same.Great play by Wrighty.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Wacky and Wild, almost Wooly.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Yeah, that's OK guys, I got it.Acosta now facing hairiness
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Whiffs Bartlett on high heat with the bags juiced.4-1 good guys.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Are we allowed to get insurance runs? I feel all naughty here.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Pads deserve it. All 3 runs were walked on base.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 1-2-3- domination from Parnell 101 and now Duda supposedly gets robbed of a homer.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Is that a Reagan-Bush campaign sweatshirt on the dude behind home plate?AND a "USA" cap? Did he lose a bet on the Iowa straw poll?

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 In the books!I'm having a hard time believing that there isn't anyone better than Iragashi at Buffalo. He's just awful.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 If you're gonna use Igarashi that was the spot, but geez, can't wait till we put him in the books. His worthlessness has reached Newhanian levels.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Some people call this a behind-the-back-stop. We call it "Gee force" ... atmlb.com/osu9RQlame joke by the MLB twitter, but after I've been criticizing the Mets pitchers' fielding, nice play by Gee.

When he's in the field he has the third base coach hold onto his makeup case.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Mets win. Braves lose.Braves magic number to guarantee finishing ahead of the Mets --- 28.Though the Mets aren't mathematically eliminated from the 2011 playoffs, the odds that the Mets make the playoffs, according to Baseball Prospectus, are 0.0%
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Listened intermittently to Bud Black's nightmarish late afternoon as night fell on Central Islip. Great night for the Ducks, too, in Mrs. F's and my maiden voyage to Whatever It's Called Now Park. Obviously we need to sign Mike Loree and have him here by September 1 if not sooner. We'll send the Ducks some warm body in exchange. Ryota Igarashi will love Suffolk County.
