bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 (edited) August 20 to 4:05 and September 11 to 8:05. Another game on a Sunday night rather than Sunday afternoon, plus it's against the Jets opener, and of course, now ESPN and Bobby V. can talk about 9-11. Edited July 23, 2011 by Guest

(not that that matters, meaningless Mets baseball over any Jets/football game, always)
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 And in 2012, Red Sox @ Mets, June 15-17:http://espn.go.com/boston/mlb/story/_/id/6786935/boston-red-sox-play-new-york-yankees-fenway-park-100th-anniversary-according-source?campaign=rss&source=MLBHeadlines
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Oh good, so we get 9 games against the Yanx & Sawx while we'll probably see the Phils & Braves double-up on the O's & Jays and some team we'll be competing against in the WC race fattens up on some AL Central squad.

Such as the LaRussas who will have their usual six games against the Royals. And the Nationals will have their usual games against the Orioles.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 In '12, Mets @ Tampa; Baltimore @ Mets.

HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Also, 13 of first 16 games vs. Braves, Phils, Giants. And like this year, two early trips to Citizens Bank.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 So in addition to the home-away series vs. the Yankees, the Mets IL play involves trips to Toronto and Tampa, and a visit from the Orioles.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 April24, 25, 26 vs. Miami take a bit of getting used too..September looks awesome if we are in a raceSeptember 1, 2 at Miami 3, 4, 5 at St. Louis 7, 8, 9 vs. Atlanta 10, 11, 12 vs. Washington 14, 15, 16 at Milwaukee 17, 18, 19 vs. Philadelphia 21, 22, 23 vs. Miami 24, 25, 26, 27 vs. Pittsburgh 28, 29, 30 at Atlanta October 1, 2, 3 at Miami
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 In MFY Stadium on my bday, ugh.Thinking of hitting Frisco in late July!
Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Might hit SF then too. My daughter lives there so I go every year. Might as well go then.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 The White Sox are still afraid to play the Mets in New York.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 August 17 at the Nats might be a target for the Solos. Hitting a beach house if all goes to plan on the 18th. We could stop in DC a day early.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 One potential vacation destination for us next summer is the Grand Canyon. I can see us trying to time that trip, if it happens, with the Mets visit to Phoenix in late July.A jaunt in May to Toronto might also be fun.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 From ESPNs David Schoenfeld:Red Sox interleague series: Phillies, Nationals, Marlins (2), Cubs, Braves. Yankees: Reds, Braves (2), Mets (2), Nationals. Rays: Braves, Marlins (2), Mets, Nationals, Phillies. The Braves play six interleague series and get the Yankees twice and the Red Sox. The Phillies play five interleague series and get the Red Sox but not the Yankees.I like that someone else in our division (Atlanta) gets 6 games with the MFYs. I also like that Florida gets 6 games each with Tampa and Boston.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 Good point Hahn Solo. The Braves "strength of schedule" might be as high as the Mets.Rubin tweeted today that the Red Sox @ Mets was on a draft version but not on the final. I wonder what replaced it.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I'd like it if the teams in our division got more National League games, but I think that ship has sailed in the minds of Bud and MLB.

So they play the Reds 8 times.Mest only have the 15 IL games, getting the NL only series this year.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 So, eight games against Cincy, but only five (!?!) against Milwaukee? MLB's divisions and scheduling are a joke.If I haven't said so lately, I hate interleague play.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I like interleague, disappointed that the only non-Yank home series is the Orioles.
