Guest sharpie Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 It's all about Willie Harris at DH. Genius.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I guess I missed some good shit. This team is starting to surprise me semi-weekly with these funky lineups.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Wow, I was following this at a restaurant and nearly fell out of my seat when I saw Bay had hit the GS. Then the Beltran hit his and I thought my flight this morning landed me in an alternate universe. Let's just hope they've left some for the rest of the week.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 I missed most of this..WOW!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Added bonus: this extremely-pale Tiger reliever sampler plate. I swear to God, the last four innings have been like "BP With The Visible Human."
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Emptying the bench and they put Hairston in for... Harris at DH?Um, OK. Terry's proven he knows best. Gotta rest our unstoppable DH.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Daniel Schlereth: Stinkier than his dad.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Yankees helping the Mets out, up 11-2 over the Brews. I guess the Mets might helping the Yankees also.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 What a bunch of fucking winners.
Piggiestomatoes Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 First happy recap north of .500 in a long time!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Not to be lost in this one --- Pagan also reached base all five times he appearred.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 I believe I am on a roll.......
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Damn, I can't wait to see the highlights for this one. The Mets not only hit two grand slams, but Bay actually hit one. Will miracles never cease. I should have bought a lottery ticket this morning.

I know in theory it helps for all the non-Mets NL teams to lose, but pfft, it's the Yankees.Wish the Red Sox could've actually freaking hit Cliff Lee. They better pound Hamels and whoever pitches after that.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Yeah, another reason to hate the Brewers afaic.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 That was Greinke tonight too, although he was partly done in by his defense. John Peter (Juan Pierre) turned four ways then fell on a Granderson soft fly right at him and played it into a 1st inning RBI triple. Then the Brews played the most ridiculous shift I've ever seen on ARod (everyone except 1B on the other side of the diamond even though he hits to the opposite field all the time) and so he simply rolled a ball through the open hole WITH MEN ON BASE for a run-scoring single.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 What an awesome game! We had a blast, and Manny Acosta threw me the game ball after the final out!!!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Wow! Best win of the year and you're holding the last out?
