Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 This is almost Acosta-proof!Nice to see Duda break out, and in a big way. Maybe this is what he needed to get going.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2011 Author Posted June 25, 2011 Holy Shit..I talk to my fiancee for an hour and its 14-2DU DA!Note to Ceetar..in fun..On a day like today how does it feel to have Bay on the bench?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Talk to your fiance tomorrow.Howie is remarking with astonishment that he saw a guy in the ballpark wearing a Kelvin Chapman jersey. Think that's one of our Chapmans?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Yup! It's Diamond Dad!Getting a shout out in the booth.

Think that's one of our Chapmans?tomorrow, just not 1-4.Bay on the bench? Honestly, I'm kinda disappointed. Glad to see Duda get going, but after a 3 hit performance these pitchers may have been good for Bay to get going.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Twenty wives of 1969 Mets are in attendance this weekend? Wow!Wonder if the first Mrs. McGraw showed up?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Mets need two runs without a home run to set a team record for that.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I don't know if there's anything to that blue-eyes-and-daylight thing, but as there's anudder day game tomorrow, I'm glad it's in Hamlton's head.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 This was a really fun game to attend. We started out on the Lexus level, which is kind of analogous to the Excelsior, except we were in the sunshine. After broiling for an inning, we went up to the equivalent of the Promenade. As the shade increased and temperatures cooled down, we went back to the Lexus level, except instead of our original seats D-Dad decided to see if we could sit behind home plate. The ushers didn't care, so we settled into the first row behind home plate. That's where Howie noticed D-Dad's Chapman 10 jersey. During the 7th inning stretch he inquired about it, so I went up to the area in front of the booth and discussed it with him. The rest of the game we got a bunch of messages from friends who heard the shout-out on the air.Between all of that and the 14-5 win, we had a great time
