Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Too many mistakes: Capuano not getting the bunt down; Reyes not handling two balls even though neither scored an error; Turner's error.Angels got a bunch of bleeders and bloops but we made them all worse with the play in the field.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 Should've had this game, and I really thought we would, especially with 2 on and nobody out in the 9th. Maybe it was unrealistically raised hopes/expectations but this loss was really disappointing.

Maybe it was unrealistically raised hopes/expectations but this loss was really disappointing.Reyes and Turner posted good at-bats, fouling off what Walden did put in the strike zone, and letting pass anything close/outside.Then, after achieving success with that approach, Beltran and Murphy came up with ideas to hit, and failed miserably.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Ugh...our last 5 losses have been by a combined 6 runs. These are should haves, not could haves.
