Imagine how it'd be if my proposal of interleague all the time got some love?

I know, I know, back to doubleheader sundays with more off days fixes everything.

I'm all for all the time intercourse play.

Even with the players that bat from both sides?

Ceetar--good work. May 22 is a day game. What's the rule about a team playing for consecutive games? Is it 15 is the most w/o approval of the union.

Besides the dates you have, each team is off on August 8.

I skipped 8/8 because it's mid homestand for the Mets.

yeah, day game 5/22. my printout is a little old and I kinda assumed. neither Sunday Subway Series Stint is on eSpn. That'd probably be the day then, get it over with if they can. I dunno about the consecutive games though, that might be rough. (21 in 20 days for the Rockies starting tomorrow if they played that day)

The Mets are home 8/8.

I should know - I have tickets to that game.

meant 8/18. The _Rockies_ are in the middle of a homestand then though.

which would mean it actually _would_ work, and i'mj ust confusing myself. the Mets aer actually enroute from San Diego Where they play an 'afternoon' game at 3:30, 6:30 here, 4:30 in Denver.

nayway, players stretching on the field now. maybe they'll play.

Two Kabooms for Beltran!!!

One from the right and one from the left.

Willie Harris on base for each of them.

I wonder how many other people there are besides Seth Smith whose first and last names end with TH.

Trying not to think about what's happening this half inning.

Guess what -- now I'm wondering about it too.

Other TH first names I thought of while being nervous in that inning:

Beth
Hyacinth.

A nice win. I think it's clear that Beltran is all the way back with the bat, and from the small bits I've seen of the games he looks to be running better now than he was in April.

Geez, we absolutely stole that one. No Ike, no David, getaway rubbergame day, Ubaldo Jiminez, Niese not on top of his game, Bay hitting cleanup, 1st & 2nd none out in the 8th with a 2-run lead, and none of it mattered.

OK, let's keep the Magic going in Hu's Town.

Yeah, I didn't even know this was happenin'. Harris had the game I knew he had in him, and Beltran set fire to the whole place.

Thing is, I'm cahnfident the offense can take hold like this. They're getting more than their share of walks (second in the NL last I checked, maybe first after today's game), and that's a load of water no damn can hold back.

I know ynagaytyawyw, but... go Mets!

Any time you chalk up nine runs on just six hits you're getting some breaks along the way. Yesterday those breaks came in the form of walks - nine altogether including six by Ubaldo who was just turrible. Stuff like a lead-off walk to Niese in one inning and later on the two-out/two-on walk to Niese which led to Reyes's 2 RBI single were absolute gifts.

He's certainly trotting better.

That's certainly the best way to keep those knees fresh.
