Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Ronny Paulino Era starts in earnest; he'll catch and hopefully hit vs. the lefty.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Play good tonight please. None of these one innings lapses that turn wins into losses.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 It's weird to see Paulino's name in there.LET'S GO METS!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 First and second, nobody out. We need runs!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 The Turner walk may be more of an achievement than the Reyes hit.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Nice AB by Bay there. Need that hit NOW please.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 leaving them loaded sucked.the pitch that struck wright out was inside.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 At least Lee threw 34 pitches in the first. Also: thanks Jimmy for the caught-stealing.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Show us what you've got, Paulino. Like the defense. Hope you brought your bat. It's more or less a trivial point, but we're one Angel short of having a healthy offense for the first time since... when?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I'd like to see Hairy pop one here.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Also, in terms of second guessing the managerial signing, Bobby V suggested bunting Turner in the first.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Buster Olney tweet: "part of reason Mets started Davis is because lefties hit Lee."Gwreck: Other part is that Mets don't have a right-handed first baseman.

I blame the cold...who would be the backup 1Bman?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 The Mets current backup firstbaseman is their starting secondbaseman.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I bet Hu or Turner could play there in a pinch but ofpush came to shove, you put one of them at second and Murphy at first. Also: nice hitting by Carlos.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 David Wright should have a kid and name him CB.And then Placido Polanco can name his son Nat, and Ryan Zimmerman can name his kid Ted and we've completed the circle. We have to leave the Marlins out because it would force some poor thirdbaseman to re-name his kid every year.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 That's Shmairston's season in a nutshell, huh?
