Byrdak should have pitched to Cargo. And I'm all for never throwing Tulo another strike again.

Please note I didn't say they "would" become a team worth watching, just noted that they have plenty of time to do so.

Big stage, you know? They were all over me by my third at-bat. That's fun. And you know, I think also here, there a lot of people here, obviously you want to play well here for the All-Star votes. Things like that, the fans remember that. They're good baseball people.

Parnell appears to have the slider under control today. So that's nice.

Note to SNY staff: when an opposing player is almost-single handled crushing/destroying the Mets, it's a bad idea to have Guys! immediately do a slurp job on that player.

Counting the other night, that's two homers off Parnell for Tulowitzki in two shots.

Beato's not roster sweatpants. Rule V or no Rule V, BYRDAK is roster sweatpants.

I still reckon the rib-eye burger at the Congregation Ale House is better.

Jose Jose goes kablam leading off the 8th

I was feeding the cats when Jose homered. I may have to cram 9 or more Lives down their throats if we're gonna come all the way back.

(Not that I'm superstitious or anything.)

Nice at-bat from Willie F. to work the walk.

Holy Hairston, 2 run homer.

This is where it's ended last 2 games tho.

I knew Huston Street wasn't that good.

Too bad we don't have anybody worth a damn to pinch hit for the pitcher.

Tailing fastball, biting slider. Not plus velocity.

So, if you can wait him out a bit...
