Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Nice GIDP. Gameday says Dickey threw Tulowitzki nothing but fastballs (really?)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Just saved my day there, Mr. Dickey.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Yup...all fastballs. Howie was pretty amazed as well.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 NOTE TO CITIFIELD A/V ROOM: That's where you play "Ole Ole Ole Ole."(Caught it on a GameDay look-in. T'was a nice, instinct-driven move, with Murphy crossing in front of him and ducking.)
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 If you're on Twitter but not following Fake Sandy Alderson, you should @sandyaldersonHe drinks a lot and let's you know when he's mad.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Was it a tough play for Reyes? Did he look at Murphy moving to cover second and give him a look that said, "Let the big boys handle this?"

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Rockie outfielders give another gift double.

Reyes running in that direction did the trick-- complete with under-control sidearm sling to avoid any possible breakup from the runner.OE: Now available as a video highlight on GameDay. Neat!

Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Gary also speculating that Reynolds wears 37 in honor of Keith (same college).
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Lotsa knuckleballs in the 4th and Dickey gets another 1-2-3...with a K to end the inning.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I can't get ol' Houston shortstop Craig Reynolds out of my head.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Wright with a leadoff double in the 4th -- legit.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 No reason not to be up by at least a run after this inning.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Author Posted April 14, 2011 This report on Pete Flynn by Guys! is interesting but why do they do this during the game? It would be a good story before a game, between games, during a rain delay, but why tell it now?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 To 3rd on a wild pitch. No outs.

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 To say that Hairston needed that would be understating things by a lot.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Thole hit & run single, 1st & 3rd
