Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Well, sure, he gave us four good innings in 2009.He appears to have been out of organized ball in 2010.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Pitched four innings in 2009 for the Mets......he was hot property for the red Sox at one point right?
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Livan Hernandez also being watched by Met scouts, and talks reportedly underway to sign Gary Sheffield.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2011 Author Posted February 9, 2011 They're also waiting for Jerry Koosman to get out of prison.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Koo was released in June. (Update the database!)
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 You know, this bullpen's looking a little shaky. Might be a good idea to get rid of some of these extra prospects, and grab a second closer.Heck, ST's only a week away. There's no time to check medical records!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 In that pic, it looks like Koosman's surrendering to the authorities again.

MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 If the Mets wanted to take a chance on a relatively young (about 33) lefthander who hadn't pitched in the majors for a while, what about Oldlis Perez? He had simlar (if not slightly better) success as Ollie, and they were both free agents. I have always thought the Mets should have signed him instead of the other O. Perez. And he isn't coming back off an injury, just a contract dispute and (maybe) being given the reputation as a hothead and blackballed when he refused to report to the minors.Later

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Mid-release, his nose seems to get that weird elongated-pointy-bend thing that both Plastic Man and Elongated Man seem to have in the comics.
