Old faces in relatively new places...

Jeff Francoeur RF
Ike Davis 1B
Henry Blanco C
Chris Carter LF
Ruben Tejada SS
Jonathon Niese P

According to Mets PR:

The last time Jeff Francoeur started in the clean up spot was October 3, 2009 vs. Houston.

Pagan is day to day with right wrist tendinitis. Tonight's bench is Hessman, Thole, Reyes, Hernandez, Pagan.
If Francoeur is traded before the end of the game, and Pagan can't play, who takes his place in the OF?

Hessman plays the outfield. And if he doesn't, I'm sure he'd tell Jerry he does.

And Jerry would believe him.

Doublechecking... 84 games in the outfield in his minor league career, including four as recently as 2009.

He's pitched four times and caught once also. Never fear when Mike is here. We are the Mess and he is our Hess.

Fourteenth inning, Ollie in the outfield. Not like he'll be doing anything else.

Fman has a thread for that.

This is a great looking lineup. Wish we saw a variation of it earlier.

Pagan LF
Castillo 2B
Wright 3B
Beltran CF
Murphy 1B
Reed RF
Thole C
Hernandez SS
Figueroa P

October 4, 2009 -- close enough?

Note Same position, different Hernandez

Okay, it's official.
Beltran is washed up.

It would make my day if we can get 3 outs without Ross scoring.

ooo, we got 2....

The Devil drives in Prado. 1-0 Braves.

Coulda been worse.
Jonathon mopping up niecely after himself.

Beltran must make up for his shoddy fielding this inning.

Blanco sac fly for another.
Guess I'll take it.
2 runs on one hit.
That's mah Mets.

We got lead.

I laugh out loud at this point ... yes, I'm not well.

Scoring runs without making outs. It's how the other teams do it.

Please stop with the trade notions.

Sickening, and all on Castillo.

That said, we have the bases loaded and no outs and the best we can do is a couple sack flies. And the Braves do what every other team does against us with the bases loaded. How close are we to that grand slam record?

I laughed when I saw our lineup tonight.

I laughed when I saw Perez was given the ball in the first game of this series last night.

Your fine. Its the team that's not well.

Okay, it's official.
The team has become a joke.

I think the Mets misunderstood Keith and are aiming to be swept this series....
