metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Does Jeff's Molly play the tall Russian blonde? Pete Flynn can play the old spit bucket man.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Sheesh, thre no Russians until Rocky IV. What are ya, from Russia?
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I thought Pagan couldn't hit lefties?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Wright needs some bench time.[/quote:3k9x92fy]Agreed. Let Hessman start at third tomorrow afternoon.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Welcome to Jerry's 8th Inning Adventureland
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Hisanori doesn't bounce back. Not shocking.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Jer-ry!Jer-ry!Jer-ry!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Oh, mercy, how predictadictadictable.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I like how the punishment refuses to stop.We had 'em down their last strike this inning twice.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 3 frigging outs. Niese gets 21 outs and the bums in the bullpen can't get three.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Let's cap off this humiliation with 8 consecutive whiffs.25 batters, 1 hit, 1 walk since the Pagan HR
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I don't believe it's the bullpen but Jery's belief that he can dub a guy a horse and he'll magically develop the ability to bounce back and pitch in hot spots night after night, no matter if he's been starter up until this year or even up until weeks ago, and no matter that this plan has now failed about 10 times in a row.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 His ability to put in guys at the moment they can't execute is uncanny. This team looks more like last year's team every night.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Agreed. He's the antithesis of a good manager. It might be worth it if he went all Costanza on us and tried following the opposite of every instinct.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 As dicey as K-Rod has been at times, he's not getting paid all that money to watch Manny Acosta pitch with the bases loaded and two out in the eighth.Just out of curiosity, is there a reason Elmer Dessens hasn't pitched in ten days?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Just lucky I guess.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Would Tejada have gotten to Helton's hit in the 8th?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Would Tejada have gotten to Helton's hit in the 8th?[/quote:xi0pv8nw]Unlikely.Castillo actually had a couple of decent snags tonight that, if Tejada had made them, fans, media, etc., would shirley have pronounced hits if Castillo were out there.Besides, we can spin this loss anyway we want: bad pen, bad Jerry, bad Castillo. But if you go 1 for 28 following Pagan's blast in the first and get 7 hits over two games you're lucky to win once and certainly shouldn't expect to win twice.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Though it shows my grip on the tangible slipping, I don't divorce the bad batsmanship from Jerry completely.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Yeah, no telling how many hits Wright gets tonight with a different skipper in the dugout.
