Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I wonder, is he combining Milwaukee and Atlanta?Mets vs. the Braves
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 btw, I looked up Chipper's stats the other day:9.28% of his plate appearances came vs the Metsand a slightly larger 9.91% of his HRs came against them but at the same time a somewhat lower 9.13% of his RBIsI bet that's not nearly as lopsided as most fans think.Without going into each season, what I suspect happened is the same as what happens in a lot of these cases; that much of that damage was done early and the rep continues to linger long after it's no longer true.See also the court documents for: McEwing, Joe vs Johnson, Randy
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Chipper's been pretty solid against the Mets until very recently. That stretch from 1996 through 2001 was particularly deadly, though.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 You have to wait until you get to 11,000 posts. We had a rule that it had to be a non-player, but I don't know if that's still in effect.
