seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 And the turnaround begins. Here we come, National League.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Hasn't been up since September of 2008. If Allah is kind, he'll be Met number 890.Current favorite to be Met 900: Russ Adams.Seriously, Hessman so belongs on this squad.

A guy that's pegged as a power bat? Seems exactly what he'd ask for. And he's desperate to give Wright a day off.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I think it's probable that Manuel will not be fired by tomorrow, but I certainly don't read that in the Hessman tea leaves.I mean, it's exactly what I'm asking for also, and I'm certainly not going to be in the dugout tomorrow.Hessman, for what it's worth, played the field last night for the first time since his injury.

Might want to let a guy get a little more up to speed defensively no? Turner can play third..

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Sheesh, weren't folks decrying the lack of real depth at the corner infield spots? Hessman, according to reports, has played excellent defense this year.OE: But man, it's surely offense that we need.

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Hessman would have probably been up a month ago if he hadn't gotten hurt. He's only played third and first this season (mostly third), but has experience nearly every place else. And he can hit.On the Barajas front, Ken Rosenthal is saying that the Red Sox offered Ramon Ramirez for Barajas before the injury. It was an intriguing offer if true.

What, is Barrett chopped liver? BOC.Oh, and I totally forgot about Boston. They're going through catchers like Spinal Tap does drummers.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Seriously, Hessman so belongs on this squad.why, was he a serial killer in a former life?
