The way Thole is working out, I'm kind of disappointed that we don't have Jesus Feliciano in the lineup.

"Batista warming up."

Miguel Batista?

Seriously, I thought he was dead or out of MLB.

Batista is pitching for his ninth team.

Well, we'll just have to paint you some more descriptive word-pictures, like.

Frenchy pretty much did what you expect there-- hack at the first two, extend the AB a bit, then... well... he didn't strike out, so there's that.

Millar: "I like the aggressiveness there by Ian."

Same here, Cowboy.

Nice play by DWright after not coming up with the ball the first time.

Yeah, Mets showing off their funderwear, staying with the play like that.

Really, the only difference between the two teams last night was fundies.

Dickey pitching for us speaks to the "hater" in me, 'cause he really has a way of making opposing hitters look like assholes. It's fun.

Case in point: Nyjer Morgan, who basically spins around twice chasing strikes before grounding out.

Someone refresh my memory: what exactly was the main issue with Thole's defense, again? The throwing? The "game-calling?" 'Cause he looks pretty damn comfortable back there catching the knuckler, and he's been quick on the foul pops.

Meanwhile, Dickey is keeping it up through four (3 hits allowed, 4 total baserunners).

Offense taking the second half of the game off.

They're setting up the "Eighth Inning Guy" to get blamed by Jerry when they lose.

No chance tho.

8th inning, still 2-2, Mets.

Clppard throws hard sliders, which has been David's bugbear.

Now he's set up 1-2.

Screw making trades. Be true to your Thole.

They're sending up a lefty against Carter. GIVE US BARAJAS!

July 3rd: A beautiful Independence Day weekend crowd.
I'm called on to pinch hit.
I'm thinkin' : "ME!!ME!!ME!!"

I don't understand not spending and removing Tatis from a game when he's your only backup catcher, but going ahead and spending him today when he's your only backup at first, second, third, and short.
