G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Son of Tim Leary chimes in on UMDB:OK. I now officially hate Joe Torre. All I knew about my dad's first game was that it was 15 degrees outside. Stuck out 3 batters in 2 innings then WHAM! He never pitched at his full potential after his injury in what was his first MLB game. I had no idea what he missed out. Things makes more sense now. Thanks to all the people that left comments for my dad.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 15 degrees? Celsius, maybe?

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Yes, but it would be a shame if Tim's son grew up with a distorted sense of the story.Tim Leary had a nice little career. While he's scapegoating Hall of Fame managers, he might want to go after Tommy Lasorda for riding him and Hershiser so hard down the stretch in 1988.
