metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Jesus Christ , the one guy everyone would expect to plough through a catcher looks like a fucking wally hitting for home.....wtf was that?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 F'real. What the hell's the Red Bull for, Animal?Worse, our own scholar/grandpa's boy has made a defensive highlight-maker out of Shelley F-ing Duncan.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Easiest job in the park tonight: guy charting pitch type for GameDay when the Indians are up.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Attempted sac bunting against a guy giving up base hits as if he got a tax break for each one. Awesome.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 The July 3 game has been moved to 4:10 as Strasburg looks like the starter. I'm going so I'm not pleased as it means a bigger crowd and a tougher game for the Mets.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 They decided to pitch him every 5th day, not game. FOX switched their plans to cover this Saturday's game, thinking he would go every 5th game, but he's going tomorrow night (the MLB Network has it).
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Do I have to read the whole thread to find out why people are talking about Betty White and Wendie Malick?
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Feliciano and Pagan puke up a run for the hot rookie catcher. I'd like an insurance run of three before we turn a one-run lead over to Frankie.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I have no idea which of the remaining two are Wendie Malickor what she's famous for. The third woman I remember from thatmagazine sitcom with the woman with the big bazzambas and herdaddy owned the place. 5-4 Mets.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Wendie is the one with the big necklace, and was in Scrooged and a bunch of other things in supporting roles. Plus the aforementioned magazine show. Used to work for Jack Kemp, but now is a big Dem.We need to keep the Tribe at bay for two more innings.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Ive Seen Wendie in many things since I first saw her on TV
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Ooh! A tri-boom from Jose grants my wish!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Feliciano looked pretty fast on that Reyes hit.If the Indians have nothing else going for them, this Carlos Santana guy looks like a very nice player - both behind the plate and with the bat.A highly touted prospect just called up in the last two weeks but already looks very comfortable and like he knows he belongs.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Reyes showin some D tonite or what?I can't see but I heard some dings.Feliciano looked pretty fast on that Reyes hit.On the radio may have sounded even faster: "he's flyin!"
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Yeah, Reyes got that superstar kind of thing going on tonight.Even got spiked on his hand earlier.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Elmer is filling the coveted role of "Reliever we thought would suck but is actually pretty good," slots previously filled by Darren Oliver and Roberto Hernandez (first tour).
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Can't plate em all.I was counting on Wright scoring tho
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Very nice 'D' by Reyes tonight.Been trying to pigeon-hole him as a defensive player lately and have come to the conclusion that I don't think he'll ever be the spectacular type - the kind to sprawl out on the ground and steal sure hits and turn them into outs. But he does take a lot of funky plays and make them look fairly routine. Tonight there have been some slow choppers for him to grab on the 1B side of 2nd where he used his foot-speed to make plays that others won't get to quickly enough.
