Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 No Gary, Pagan didn't save anything, CitiField saved it.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Great job by Pagan. Jerry should take out Perez now while the game is still in reach.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Of course that was a 450 foot bomb on most days.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Brunch is not sitting so well right now.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 I'm not convinced Bay wasn't going to catch what Pagan caught in the third. Bay tends to make catches like a wide receiver, but Pagan got in the way of his route. What's caught is caught, thank goodness, but I wish they'd clear up their signals. It's the third time I can recall where it didn't look like anybody called I GOT IT!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Jose saves Ollie's carnitas on that one. Yipe.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Is Jerry waiting for the game to get out of hand? Why is Valdes warming up if he's not going to come in after 8 walks?
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 A dark part of me wants Ollie to go all nine and his arm fall off.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Valdes in. Wouldn't you rather have a little hair pie?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 What's wrong? He has a 2-hitter going!I guess Jerry will tolerate 6 but 7 is his limit.(I read the screen wrong earlier but it might as well have been 9.)

By the way, for all of the talk this past off-season about Bay's subpar defense, I can't recall one single bad play that Bay made as a Met outfielder ... not one safe hit to left field on Bay's watch that a better fielder might've converted into an out.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Agreed on Bay's defensive prowess thus far. (with apologies to Clyde)
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Would you keep Perez in the rotation or send him down and call up Dickey (pitching today) or Gee?http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?t=t_ibp&cid=422&stn=true&sid=t422
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 I don't need a half-inning of Bobby Ojeda from the studio in the middle of a game, but as far as Met lefty starters who haven't won anything lately, I'd rather watch a half-inning of Bobby Ojeda than a half-inning of Ollie Perez.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Yeah, the Bobby O commentary was lame ... hope they lose that.Valdez flashin' some wood.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Do they think that Gary, Keith and/or Ron, plus Kevin, isn't enough for us?
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Little bit of this and a little bit of that and I'm getting happier.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 May this commence to invalidate the "Lince-came, Lince-saw, Lince-conquered" headline brewing in my mind.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 From your keyboard to the next three bottom half of theinnings ears!
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I'd rather have Julio Franco on the Mets than GMJ. Just sayin'.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I'd rather have Guiseppe Franco on the Mets than GMJ.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Time for Bay and Wright to come through and drive in some runs.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 mets get a little help from mother nature there
