We don't believe in comebacks?
We don't believe in Santana?
We don't believe that this team is any damn good after all?

It's one game. There's another one tomorrow. And the Phillies still represent a town full of mouthbreathing, murderous neanderthals, whose native cuisine is fucking beef hash. Congratulations on winning the weekend, Non-Fucking-World-Champions. Now let's fuck up Ohio. Give me the damn ball.

Being a half game out of first on the third of May without Carlos Beltran is more than anyone expected when this season started. And tomorrow (today, really) we get Ike Davis back in the lineup, whom the Mets apparently can't win without.

Good point. Saw someone say Maine and didn't even think about it.

So complete game 12K win for Perez tonight then.

I'm a bit loath to steal KTE thunder, but here's a little background on tonight's Commie hurler:

Pinko Mike Leake made six AFL starts, but otherwise, he's done no minor-league labor at all. High-80s/low-90s fastball with natural cut/movement, decent slider, solid change, with good control/command. After two Sunday-in-the-park starts-- plenty of pleasant walking-- he's settled down to beat the Doyers and Astros with just 16 baserunners allowed in 14 innings.

Most importantly, he's new to us... so think optimistically, and hope that the three total Met hits tonight all leave the park.

It's 1-1 in the top of the second. Ollie gave up a home run, and Frenchy just knocked in Ike (who reached on an error).

This IGT suxx so far....

Two outs and a runner in scoring position? Walk the catcher and go after the pitcher. That always works.

Crappy turnout at Riverfront II.

The Reds announcer, while trying to exonerate Reyes' name, is incorrectly reporting that Reyes was investigated during the offseason by the FBI.

Those chili cheese dogs in Cinci look worth the trip!

They're good. Cinci chili is a bit sweeter than what we have out here, and it's very tasty.

Crap - Reyes should have had that ball.

2-1 Reds :(

Ollie strikes out Rolen to end the inning and limit the damage.

Jose makes up for the glovework by knocking in the tying run.
